I am a sports photographer who absolutely loves capturing the action. I appreciate the people I meet, the places I go to, and the spontaneity in every shoot.
I’ve always enjoyed taking photos, but was put off photography at a young age as it all seemed so technical. But many years later, as a Mum of three young kids, It’s developed into a real passion.
In stunning Central Otago most photographers are inspired by the dramatic landscapes but for me it’s all about capturing our people in action – particularly those moments in sport that define a game.
I studied Physical Education at Otago University and have been involved in sport and recreation one way or another for most of my career. While living in Sydney, I worked to help fund community sport and develop sports facilities through the Australian Sports Foundation and for the Australian Football League (AFL) in New South Wales and the ACT. I’ve also been lucky enough to work at some major sporting events including the 1990 Commonwealth Games (Auckland), and the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Today, when I am not undertaking mum duties or taking pics, I work part time as the Trust Facilitator for NZ’s Original Great Ride, the Otago Central Rail Trail.
